Panel #7 – Color Mixing: Adding Magenta

In a manner similar to the above example, the addition of primary magenta will cause a color to move towards the plane that contains maximum magenta, M100. The middle diagram in panel #7 shows that adding magenta to cyan moves the resulting color in a straight line in the direction of the M100 plane. In this case, cyan (C100 M0 Y0) approaches blue (C100 M100 Y0), which resides on the M100 plane. Once this plane is achieved, the diagram shows that adding more magenta moves the color directly towards the magenta cube (C0 M100 Y0).
